Before Morrie got sickBefore Morrie was diagnosed with ALS Mitch didn’t keep in touch with Morrie. He moved away and left his life behind. He didn’t try very hard to connect with his sick brother. He was consumed in his work, and buried himself in accomplishments. Mitch believed he could control things. He married a beautiful girl, but was too busy with work to start a family of his own. Mitch didn’t chase his dreams. He chose the career path that would keep him financially stable and would keep him in work.

After Morrie got sickAfter Morrie got sick Mitch flew down to his sick professor every tuesday to visit him. Morrie taught him about life and how to live a good one. But he also taught him how to die. He taught him how to accept things and how to make things better. Morrie wanted Mitch to chase his dreams and to do what he loved. Mitch started to look at his life differently. Work didn’t become his number one priority and he started doing the things he loves. Mitch got in contact with his brother and told him he would always be there for him. Mitch remembers everything now and holds close to the little things in life. He will never forget his dear professor and beloved friend.
